Duanes History: Over the past nine years, Pinnacle Sportfishing has carved out an uncanny reputation for precision, quality and consistency in Southern California’s small boat charter industry. No stranger to highlining the small boat fleet, Capt Duane “Diego” Mellor has been etching his name in the sport with impressive fish counts over the past 30 years. Planting his roots early in the 90’s working on both short and long range sportboats, followed by running private yachts, just before settling into the 4-pack charter landscape. Fast forward to 2024, Duane’s Pinnacle Sportfishing fleet proudly boasts three incredibly productive boats, operated by Diego, along with a very talented team of young, San Diego born and bred captains that were each hand selected and trained by his decades of knowledge and experience.
